Dear Fellow Flower Dancers

2009 July 14
by Jennifer Hutchings

July 24 – UPDATE: Doing much better, I think I’m once again ready to get out there and dance!!!

I regret to inform you that I shall be taking to my bed – again – effective immediately. No, not my flower bed, unfortunately! The bed I’m referring to is the flat-on-one’s-back, doc-says-I’m-not-to-get-up, gads-I-hate-being-sick AGAIN bed!

I’m just not getting well. Sis took me to the ER yesterday and we had a CT scan. Well, I did. SHE had a flirt with a very cute young doctor… The scan finally settled, once and for all, a very old family controversy – yes, there IS brain matter in there. Doctor CT-Scan (not the same as the one Sis was batting her lashes at)  said unfortunately he can’t confirm that it’s actually functioning without further tests.

Also revealed massive sinus infection, which explained a lot of things. Doctor Cutie-Pie thinks that I’ve actually had it since January, which is why I’ve been so exhausted, and also why I’ve caught so many viruses – my immune system has been overworked and can’t cope, LOL! Sounds like most of the single mommies I know…

So I’m too wobbly to sit up much and too dizzy to see well and can’t follow a train of thought at all (that may not be new news…). Needless to say, I won’t be blogging for awhile but I’ve asked several wonderful people to write something pithy and garden-esque for us instead. Please bear with me, enjoy our terrific and generous Guest Authors, and be sure to check out their links to their blogs, businesses, and Flickr albums.

We’ll have our first giveaway when I get back – can you imagine how hard it is on me not to spill the beans? LOL

Cheers, Jen

P.S. We still need a couple more Guest Authors! If  you’re interested in writing a short something-or-other about some aspect of gardening, please email me at jen@flowerdancer.com . Please keep in mind that this is a  religion-, politics-, and pesticide-free blog! lol

Get well soon cookie. You are missed. I will be working up a guest posting for you this week.

Yikes! I had a massive sinus infection earlier this year. If there’s any chance it might be fungal in nature (mine was, since it was nonresponsive to all antibiotics), see your herbalist about taking Oregano. It’s a natural antifungal and it cleared mine up without any sort of invasive procedure that the medical community would have used to dislodge it.

Here’s hoping you’re well again soon! I keep meaning to write and running out of time. :S

Thanks for all the good thoughts, everybody, it all makes a difference! I’m pretty thoroughly worn out, but not coughing any more and my head is almost clear – yay! Thank you so much to all who helped, and all who sent healing thoughts!!!

So glad to hear that you are ready to kick off your shoes (or perhaps put some dancing shoes on) and dance with your friends and flowers. The guest posters have been fun (and I thank you for letting me be part of this taken to bed party) but your joyous words were missed. To read your words brought smiles back to our faces. Looking forward to reading about the mail call. Sea Witch
